He has also worked at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC. He was ordained into the Baptist ministry in February 2024. Matt looks forward to seeing how God can use this ministry to the glory of his Name and the coming of his Kingdom.
We believe in the eternal existence of God in the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matt. 28:19; Eph. 4:4-6)
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God and that it is applicable to everyone today. (2 Tim. 3:16; Heb. 6:17-18; Isa. 55:10-11; 2 Pet. 1:21)
We believe in the complete deity of the man Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, sinless life, sacrificial and atoning death on the cross, his ascension to Heaven, and his approaching return. (Matt. 1:23; John 1:1-4 and 1:29; Acts 1:11, 2:22-24; Rom. 8:34; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; 2 Cor. 5:21; Phil. 2:5-11; Heb. 1:1-4 and 4:15)
We believe mankind is inherently sinful and separated from a holy God. Only through repentance and faith in Christ is anyone able to be reconciled to God and receive his salvation through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Rom. 3:23; John 14:6; 2 Cor. 5:19; Tit. 3:4-7)
We believe in the present work of the Holy Spirit, who is able to bring about repentance in the unbeliever and also empower the Christian to live a life of faith in God. (John 16:8-11; 2 Tim. 1:14, Gal. 5:22-23; Rom. 8:14)
We believe in the eternal existence of every person. After death the wicked will one day, be raised to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life. (John 6:40; 1 Cor, 15:51-57; Rev, 20:11-15)
We believe in the establishment of Christ's universal Church, expressed through the local assembly, of which every Christian ought to be a devoted member. (Matt. 16:18; Heb. 10:25)
We believe the work of every Christian should be in evangelism and discipleship. Christians are to share their personal faith in Christ with others and build them up as they grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Tim. 4:5; Matt. 28:18- 20; 2 Pet. 3:18)
We believe human life is given by God and should be protected from conception until its natural end. Christians are always to treat others well because they have been created in the image of God, and thus deserve the utmost respect and love. (Gen. 1:27; Psa. 139:13, Mark 12:29-31)
